Nissan Magnite 2025 Overview

The refreshed Nissan Magnite 2025 may not be a full next-generation model, but Nissan refers to it as an MC or “Major Change,” with notable enhancements that keep its appeal fresh. At first glance, its exterior appears familiar, maintaining its bold styling, but a closer look reveals subtle yet impactful updates. The front grille now sports a revised hexagonal design, and the apron has been strengthened, giving the vehicle a more robust look. Repositioned fog lamps and sleek LED lights, both front and rear, enhance its appearance. Additionally, a new 16-inch alloy wheel design and roof rails complement the car’s refreshed exterior, while buyers can select from a diverse palette of 13 paint options, including five two-tone variants. Inside, Nissan has focused on improving passenger comfort. The cabin now features a “360-degree leather treatment,” adding soft leatherette padding to key touchpoints like the doors and dashboard. The seats are upholstered in “MODURE” quilted leatherette with contrast stitching that mirrors the hexagonal motif of the grille. These seats also boast an infrared-ray reflecting coating to keep the interior cooler. A 7-inch digital TFT driver display with updated graphics, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless smartphone charger have been added for modern tech convenience. Rear passengers benefit from USB charging ports and air vents, enhancing comfort, while the introduction of 4-colour ambient lighting elevates the cabin's ambience. The Magnite also offers numerous convenience features such as walk-away lock and approach-unlock via the new I-Key, a cooled glove box, and an onboard air ionizer. This air ionizer is designed to improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) by neutralizing odors and microbes, working in tandem with the new remote engine start function—a valuable feature in hot climates like the Middle East. With dimensions measuring under four meters in length, 1,758mm in width, and 1,572mm in height, the Magnite is compact yet spacious enough to seat five passengers. The 2,500mm wheelbase contributes to its roomy interior, while the standard split-folding rear seats offer increased versatility by expanding the cargo space from 336L to 540L. Competing with crossovers like the Kia Sonet and Skoda Kushaq, the Magnite ensures it remains competitive within the segment. On the safety front, the new Magnite has made strides with reinforced steel in its body shell for added structural integrity. All variants now come standard with six airbags, and three-point seat belts are provided for rear passengers. The frameless rear-view mirror, featuring an auto-dimming function, offers a wider field of view. Additional safety technologies include the Around View Monitor, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, Hydraulic Brake Assist, TPMS, and driver seatbelt pretensioners. For the Middle East, Nissan will likely offer the turbocharged 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine paired with either a manual transmission or the XTRONIC CVT. Producing 99hp and 160Nm of torque, this engine can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.3 seconds. Fuel efficiency is rated at 20 km/litre for the manual and 17.4 km/litre for the CVT, making it both peppy and economical. Enhanced suspension systems ensure the Magnite delivers a comfortable ride, even on rough roads.
