2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Roadster

The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Roadster, or Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster as the marketeers like to call it now, is the first car entirely developed in-house by AMG. Two variants of the AMG GT Roadster are available as of 2017, all with the same V8 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine but with different tunes. Power is delivered in both variants through a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The standard AMG GT Roadster gets a mechanical rear-axle locking rear differential while the AMG GT S gets an electronic locking rear differential. The GT S also has an AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with electronically controlled dampers with three different modes - Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. The AMG GT doesn't weigh so much for its size, thanks to the body structure being built through a mixture of steel, aluminium and magnesium. Safety standards are high in the AMG GT with front and side airbags, traction control, ABS brakes and stability control.
