Mazda 3 2019 Overview
This generation Mazda 3, which came out in 2015, was slightly longer in height and length than the previous generation. The exterior of the Mazda3 got the new Mazda "KODO" treatment, their new trademark design at the time. In 2017, it got a slight facelift. The 5-door hatchback had two engines in the GCC, a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder motor with a 4-speed automatic and a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder unit with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Mechanical features include independent suspension, disc brakes, electric power steering and an all-new platform unrelated to the Ford Focus, unlike before. The basic S-grade 1.6L model came with a 4-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with USB/AUX ports and Bluetooth, power windows, manual a/c, Bluetooth, central locking, starter button, 16-inch steel wheels, cruise control, tilt/telescoping steering column and a single-piece folding rear seat. The V-grade 1.6L model added some chrome trim, running lamps, 16-inch alloys, fog lamps, split-folding rear seat, leather steering wheel and mirror-mounted indicators. An optional package added a 6-speaker stereo, sunroof, auto-dimming mirror, adaptive headlights, MZD Connect multimedia system with LCD screen and rotary controller, headlamp washers, rear camera with sensors, LED tail lamps, auto-levelling HID headlights, single-zone auto a/c and, as a further option, navigation. The R-grade 2.0L model got the larger engine as well as additional features such as a basic heads-up display, standard navigation, smart keyless entry, piano-black front grille, leather seats, auto headlights and wipers, adaptive cruise, 18-inch alloys, power-folding mirrors, rear spoiler and better safety features. Standard safety features included dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and an immobiliser, while top-spec R-grade models got side airbags, "smart" brake support and blind-spot monitoring.
