Overview
The Maserati Spyder is a high-performance two-door two-seater based on the 4200 GT Coupe, except with a shorter wheelbase and a convertible top. While these cars are based on the original 3200 GT which debuted in 1998, they have been receiving updates regularly. The latest variations was the GranSport Spyder, which featured sport-tuned suspension, aerodynamic and performance upgrades, and racier trimmings. All versions are powered by a Ferrari-tuned 4.2-litre V8, with a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed Cambiocorsa paddle-shifted automanual. The Gransport version, which debuted in 2005, have slightly more power. All cars get a full suite of luxury features, such as power windows, premium CD stereo, electric mirrors, power-adjustable leather seats and more. Additional features 18-inch alloy wheels, multiple airbags, ABS brakes and stability control.
