The American Grand Cherokee was redesigned for the 2005 model year, but the Austrian-built GCC models arrived here only in 2006, packing a 4.7-litre V8 and a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 in this market, both with an automatic gearbox, though both engines offer the same fuel economy. A rare 6.1-litre V8-powered SRT-8 model joined the range for 2007. Cloth upholstery is standard, as are power windows, power locks with remote keyless entry, eight-way power driver's seat, AM/FM/CD audio, driver information center, 60/40 split folding rear seat, and 17-inch wheels.
