2013 Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass, based on the feeble Dodge Caliber, gets heavily worked over for 2011, with a facelift that mimics the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The compact 5-seater crossover features four-wheel-independent suspension, disc brakes and all-wheel-drive. The standard engine is a carryover 2.4-litre 4-cylinder mated to a CVT automatic, but no standard low-range gearing. Standard features do include electric mirrors, power windows, keyless entry, leather-wrapped steering wheel, fog lamps, roof rails, removable LED flashlight, 4-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with wheel buttons, cloth seats, rear 60/40 reclining and folding seat-back, front-passenger fold-flat seat, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Higher models include a UConnect touchscreen multimedia system with navigation and Bluetooth, cruise control, leather seats, 18-inch alloys, power driver's seat, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic a/c and nicer floor mats. All models feature front, side and curtain airbags as well as ABS and stability control.
