2001 Isuzu Trooper

The Trooper was Isuzu's first well-known 4WD vehicle, and is a vehicle that was very competitive in terms of looks and features, but never caught on due to poor marketing and even poorer dealer support. It came in 3-door and 5-door body styles, both five-seaters, although both looked very similar to each other, except for the number of doors. While previous Trooper models were basic utilitarian offroaders, this version actually was well-endowed with basic luxury features of the time. This particular model line ended in 2002, at which point Isuzu discontinued its passenger-vehicle line and concentrated on work trucks. The Trooper came with an acceptable 3.5-litre V6, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. All trims had standard all-wheel-drive with low-range gearing.
