The Ranger pickup range will appeal to customers who are looking for a basic work truck, although it can be optioned up with some simple comforts. Facelifted for 2010, the Ranger is a midsize pickup based on an Asian truck platform and built in Thailand. It can be had in either rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive form. The engine range includes a 2.2-litre petrol, a 2.6-litre petrol and a 3.0-litre turbodiesel, all 4-cylinder with a 5-speed manual gearbox, though not all motors are available in all markets. Offered in single-cab and double-cab body styles, features include air-conditioning, CD/MP3 stereo with 2 speakers, numerous storage spaces inside the cabin, and 15-inch steel wheels. Moving up the trim levels adds ABS, dual front airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels, 6-speaker stereo with CD changer, power locks, power windows, power mirrors, decals, bedliner, steel-tubing protection bars and 4x4 with low-range gearing.
