An all-new model of the BMW M5 came out in 2025 and is equipped with a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 engine coupled with an electric motor, upgraded to produce more power. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive BMW M5 has various driving dynamics modes, including a rear-wheel-drive mode.
Some of the wide range of driving and comfort features offered in the 2026 BMW M5 include Dynamic Drive Control with four modes: Comfort, Normal, Sport, and Sport+. Additionally, the vehicle features Comfort Start, Head-Up Display, Multi-Channel Audio System, Rear Seat Entertainment, Four-Zone Automatic Air Conditioning, and BMW iDrive control.
The 2026 BMW M5 comes with a Parking Assistant, an optional feature that facilitates the process of parking, as well as Active Cruise Control, Surround View and Rear View Camera, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning and BMW Night Vision with pedestrian recognition.
