The 9-3 midsize sports sedan has been around for a while now, spawning variants such as the Sport Combi station wagon and the evergreen convertible. Receiving a major facelift for 2008, the car comes in various confusingly-named trims, including a new Turbo X model. The base model features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine known as the 1.8t, a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic, 16-inch alloy wheels, power windows and mirrors, a power driver's seat, and an infotainment audio system with 150 watts and seven speakers. Mid-level engines are both also 2.0-litre turbo, known as the 2.0t and the 2.0T, with either manual or automatic. The Aero models feature the new 2.8-litre V6 turbo engine, known as the 2.8T, and a choice of 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions, along with 17-inch alloy wheels, the sophisticated ReAxs four-wheel steering system, lowered sports suspension and stability control.
