2008 Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe

The Drophead Coupe is a convertible that debuted in 2008, and remains faithful to the marine-nautical theme of the concept car shown a few years before. A proper fixed-top Coupe came later. The two-door four-seater features rearward-opening "suicide" doors, and the ragtop has optional teak-wood paneling as a cover for the folded roof. The optional unpainted hood is made of lacquered stainless steel, while the interior trim is a combination of real wood, real leather and real metal. The extravagantly-large car is powered by a 6.8-litre V12, mated to a 6-speed automatic and a chopped Phantom rear-wheel-drive platform. Standard features include the goofy name, a CD stereo with an amazing fifteen speakers, massive 21-inch alloy wheels, and power everything, including electrically-closing doors.
