2009 Renault Symbol

Renault introduced an all-new entry-level model in 2009 to replace the aging Clio. Named the Renault Symbol, it is basically more of the same, but with a new skin. That means the Symbol is based on the outgoing Clio Classic sedan, and continues its production in Turkey. Also continuing are the same weak 1.4-litre 4-cylinder engine, mated to a 4-speed automatic. Also, while the interior design is largely the same, the exterior gets a total makeover, for better or worse. The Symbol is said to benefit from the old Clio's sporty suspension tuning as well as its frugal fuel consumption. Apparently the Symbol is also more aerodynamic, while losing a bit of weight too. The cheap Renault can be outfitted with power windows, 14-inch or 15-inch alloy wheels, CD/MP3 stereo, fog lamps, automatic a/c, folding rear seat, and various types of cloth upholstery. In terms of safety, the Symbol can be had with ABS and dual front airbags.
