2013 Renault Koleos

The Renault Koleos is a compact SUV designed by Renault and developed by Nissan. It is manufactured by Renault Samsung Motors, a subsidiary of Renault, at its plant in South Korea. Based on a Nissan platform, the Koleos was facelifted with a new front-end for 2012, but still uses a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. Though it may look like an offroader, this mildly-lifted crossover comes standard with front-wheel-drive in the base trim, while basic all-wheel-drive system is standard on the higher trim levels, with 50:50 lock but without low-range gearing. Available equipment, depending on trim level, includes cruise control, alloy wheels, CD/MP3 sound system, automatic air-conditioning, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, rear parking sensors, power windows, electric mirrors, sunroof and an automatic electronic parking brake. Stability control, ABS, front airbags and side-curtain airbags helped the Koleos achieve a 5-star crash test rating in Europe.
