Overview
The Maserati Ghibli was revived by Fiat as a 2014 model and is intended to compete in the luxury midsize segment which is dominated by the Germans. The rear-wheel drive Ghibli gets two 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engines in different states of tune. Both versions get an 8-speed automatic transmission. In 2015, the Ghibli S was also available with all-wheel-drive. In 2019, a Gran Lusso trim was introduced with a body kit, sports seats and steering wheel, and full-LED adaptive Matrix headlights. 2021 saw another slight facelift update as well as new engine additions, software and tech upgrades. A 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine with a small electric motor under the new GT Hybrid trim was added to the the lineup. Also added was a Trofeo trim which got a 3.8-litre turbocharged V8 engine.
