Overview
The Maserati Coupe, sometimes known as the 4200 GT, is a high-performance two-door four-seater that relaunched Ferrari-owned Maserati as a contender in the sport-luxury class. It complements the two-seater Spyder, which is a shorter-wheelbase convertible version of the Coupe. While these cars are based on the original 3200 GT which debuted in 1998, they have been receiving updates regularly. The latest variations were the GranSport Coupe and the GranSport Spyder, which feature sport-tuned suspension, aerodynamic and performance upgrades, and racier trimmings. All versions are powered by a Ferrari-tuned 4.2-litre V8, with a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed Cambiocorsa paddle-shifted automanual. The Gransport versions, which debuted in 2005, have slightly more power. All cars got a full suite of luxury features, such as power windows, premium CD stereo, electric mirrors, power-adjustable leather seats and more.
