Overview
The Lincoln MKZ made its comeback in the GCC as a 2014 model year. In 2017, it got a significant facelift, along with a new engine.The MKZ comes with a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine or a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6, both mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The 2.0T comes in front-wheel-drive form while the 3.0T comes with all-wheel-drive for the GCC market. The MKZ will be available with SYNC3 and MyLincoln Touch as standard, along with large 10.1-inch LCD instrument cluster and an 8-inch centre touchscreen. Options include a huge opening panoramic glass roof. As for safety, there is a mono-vision camera integrated into the rearview mirror to read lane markers on the road. It will be complemented by radar sensors for the adaptive cruise control and active Collision Warning with Brake Support. Also included are wide-angle radar sensors for help with parking and backing up. It also has inflatable second-row seatbelts and eight airbags.

In the US, there were recalls for the torque converter connection which may fail, and steering which may detach. Few owners reported engine stalling, Sync not connecting with smartphone, 'Service Headlamps' warning popping randomly, radio turning ON after the reverse camera has come ON, and catalytic converter issues causing the Check Engine Light to come ON.
