2011 BMW M6 Cabriolet

The range-topping M6 arrived for 2006, in coupe and convertible form, using the same V10 engine as the M5. Unlike that of the new 5-Series and 7-Series models, the styling of the new 6 Series has generally received a warm welcome from the public, for unknown reasons. The new 6-Series was designed to look like a shark, and really does remind you of one, but it is far from good-looking. The controversial "Bangle-butt" rear styling works somewhat better on the shapely 6-Series than on other BMW models though. The 6-Series has become the vehicle of choice for rich town-cruising yuppies, but it is actually an excellent performance car, available with a 7-speed SMG automanual in the M6. A mild facelift came for the 2008 model, adding minor gadgetry updates.
