Overview
The Audi A5 originally debuted for 2008 in the GCC as a four-seater coupe based on the latest stretched A4 platform, with the range later diluted by the addition of a 5-door model. All A5 versions feature a loudmouth grille framed by rectangular headlights, a very thick C-pillar, frameless windows, and a waistline that flows upwards around the wheel arches. The Audi A5 coupe is powered by either a 2.0-litre turbo 4-cylinder or a 3.2-litre V6 engine. Power is delivered through a CVT transmission for the front-wheel-drive version, and a 6-speed tiptronic auto transmission for the Quattro all-wheel-drive version. Technology includes partial LED lighting, an electromechanical parking brake, an all-plastic key and three-zone climate control, along with all the usual luxury features, such as power windows, electric mirrors, sunroof and leather upholstery.
