The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has been the same mechanically since 2010, getting few tweaks to the exterior, with the most significant facelift coming in 2018. There are two "VVT-i" engine choices for the Land Cruiser Prado - a 2.7-litre 4-cylinder and a 4.0-litre V6. In Saudi Arabia, additionally a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel V6 engine on offer. The Land Cruiser Prado are proper off-road cars and all models offer standard all-wheel-drive with low-range gearing and available locking centre-differential. All petrol engines get a 6-speed automatic transmission whereas the diesel motor is mated to a 5-speed automatic.
