The Corolla is a bestseller among compact sedans, relying on reliability and economy to keep it competitive. The Corolla can be equipped to be a luxurious compact, with the decent top-spec 1.8-litre four-cylinder, as well as optional leather interior and a DVD system, which are hard to find in any other compact besides the overpriced German cars. However, the base Corolla offers excellent value and comes standard with a 1.3-litre four-cylinder, air conditioning, a radio cassette player, manual windows and a cloth interior.
