2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster debuted in 2011, a year after the Coupe. Renamed the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Roadster for 2013 with almost no changes, it is supposed to be an everyday-use supercar, a product of in-house development by AMG. The coupe's trademark 'gullwing' doors are lost here in favour of conventional doors, easing entry and exit. Underneath the long bonnet is the usual AMG-built 6.2-litre V8 engine, now upgraded by 20 hp in the GT, and mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automanual gearbox in this application. By the end of 2013, the GT was replaced by a GT Final Edition, identified by its big wing, carbon-fibre bonnet, lip spoiler and wheels.
