A new generation of the Mazda 3 hatchback came out in 2020. Mechanically, the engines have carried over from the previous model. One engine is offered for the 2023 Mazda 3 Sedan in the GCC, a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder unit with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
