2010 Jeep Patriot

The Patriot is an all-new compact all-wheel-drive 4WD that, like the Compass, is based on the Dodge Caliber and features Jeep styling cues such as a seven-slot grille and round headlights. Unlike the Compass, the Patriot attempts to retain some features of a traditional 4WD, such as decent ground clearance and short overhangs. The all-wheel-drive Patriot is powered by a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with either a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional second-generation CVT automatic transmission. The Patriot is available in very bare Sport trim and loaded Limited trim. The full-time active four-wheel-drive system includes a "Lock" mode for use on low-traction surfaces. The optional off-road package has simulated low-range gearing using the CVT gearbox. Standard equipment includes side-curtain airbags, ESP, traction control and a fabric interior. Other features include a built-in flashlight, flip-down rear speakers in the tailgate, 17-inch alloy wheels and power features.
