Ford Escape 2013 Overview
The Ford Escape gets a completely new design for the 2013 model. Slightly longer than the previous model and ditching the V6 motor, the new shape will arrive in the GCC with just the 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and only front-wheel-drive for now. The interior will also receive a major upgrade as it will have the Microsoft SYNC entertainment system we have all come to expect in all Fords. The Escape comes standard with cloth seats, power door locks, windows and mirrors, tilt steering column, speed controls on the steering wheel, 17-inch alloy wheels and electric power steering. Upgrades include premium cloth upholstery or leather, power front seats, a power moonroof, cruise control, fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels and parking sensors. Escape comes standard with front, side and curtain airbags, ABS brakes and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control. It might get all-wheel-drive in the future, and has decent ground clearance, but it will not have the low range gearing to tackle serious turf.
