Overview
An all-new BMW M5 came out in 2018. It gets the same 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 engine, upgraded to produce more power. It is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Also new in this generation is it comes in all-wheel drive. When the engine is first started, the new BMW M5 will be in all-wheel-drive mode with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) switched on. The driver is then able to vary the handling characteristics of the M5 by activating various driving dynamics modes, including a rear-wheel-drive mode with no DSC. Some of the wide range of driving and comfort features offered in the BMW M5 include Dynamic Drive Control with four modes, namely comfort, normal, sport and sport+, as well as Comfort Start, Head-Up Display, Multi-Channel Audio System, Rear Seat Entertainment, Four-Zone Automatic Air Conditioning and BMW iDrive control.
