Over-sensitive auto-headlight and wiper rain sensors are considered normal. Various squeaks and rattles develop within warranty period, most from cabin trim but some from suspension components. Stereo, radiator fans, door seals and steering rack all known to fail. Potential a/c problems can be expensive. Early models have ignition coil failure, just like previous-generation models, so some owners carry extra ignition coils to avoid getting stranded. Some report that radio may turn on and drain battery even when parked. Many having problems with DSG automanual gearbox, due to failure of "Mechatronic Control Module."
