Overview
The Toyota Innova Hybrid, also known in some markets as the Innova Hycross or Innova Zenix, is the latest generation of Toyota’s popular MPV and is now available in the GCC, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It moves away from the old rear-wheel-drive layout and adopts a modern front-wheel-drive platform with a hybrid powertrain, giving it better efficiency, more interior space, and improved ride comfort.
Engine & Powertrain
Under the hood, the Innova Hybrid uses a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine paired with Toyota’s latest self-charging hybrid electric system. Combined output is around 184 hp, with 188 Nm from the petrol engine and additional torque delivered by the electric motor. The hybrid setup prioritizes smoothness and economy rather than outright performance, making it ideal for commuting.
A Direct Shift E-CVT handles power delivery, and unlike older Innovas, this model is front-wheel drive.
