Overview
Based on a stretched version of the latest 'B6' Passat platform, the redesigned Skoda Superb is a 5-door liftback sedan, with an innovative tailgate that can open as a regular sedan boot or as a full liftback boot, known as 'Twin-Door.' Various VW-derived engines are available, although the only engines available for the GCC is the 1.8-litre turbo 4-cylinder, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automanual and front-wheel-drive, along with a 3.6-litre V6 that debuted in late 2010 with a 7-speed automanual and all-wheel-drive. The Superb 1.8 TSI is available with power windows, electric mirrors, keyless entry, 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, sunroof, CD/MP3 stereo with six-disc CD changer and a 6.5-inch touchscreen, SD card and AUX inputs, automatic climate-control a/c, and a choice of upholstery.
