2000 Nissan Patrol

The Patrol is Nissan's most capable 4WD in its lineup. It is a big 4WD that dates back to the 1992 version, relaunched with a new skin in 1998. It has garnered a reputation as an excellent off-road vehicle in the Middle East, even though it has been fighting a losing battle with the overrated Toyota Land Cruiser for decades now. It is also popular for its reasonable on-road ride, though its handling leaves a lot to be desired. The 4.8-litre inline six-cylinder came for 2002, alongside the older 4.5-litre inline-six which eats more fuel, and the frugal diesel 4.2-litre inline-six. A 4-speed automatic with manual sequential shift facility is available on petrol models alongside the 5-speed manual.
