2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe debuted in 2010 on a completely new and unique platform, paying homage to the original 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing. Renamed the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT for 2013 with almost no changes, it is supposed to be an everyday-use supercar, a product of in-house development by AMG. The car's trademark feature is the set of 'gullwing' doors that open upwards, requiring less room to open than conventional coupe doors. Underneath the long bonnet is the usual AMG-built 6.2-litre V8 engine, now upgraded by 20 hp in the GT, and mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automanual gearbox in this application. By the end of 2013, the GT was replaced by a GT Final Edition, identified by its big wing, carbon-fibre bonnet, lip spoiler and wheels.
