2011 Lexus GX

Toyota had been selling a slightly-altered version of the Prado in the United States since 2002, calling it the Lexus GX 470. That model has now been replaced by a new-for-2010 GX 460 model, based on the latest-generation Prado. The most obvious difference between the GCC-spec Prado and the US-spec GX460 is the front-end styling, with small changes to the rear light clusters and a completely unique dashboard. The cabin trim quality is also a notch better, while even a few control buttons have been changed for a more premium feel. The real news is under the bonnet, as the Lexus version comes exclusively with a 4.6-litre V8, slighty detuned compared to the U.S. version. The V8 is mated to a 6-speed automatic and all-wheel-drive with low-range gearing.
