The Lamborghini Urus is the Italian brand's SUV offering. As has long been the tradition at Lamborghini, the name Urus is derived from the world of bulls. A 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 engine, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, powers the Urus.

From 2023 onwards, the engine has been upgraded to produce more power, and the base model was the Urus S. In 2024, the plugin hybrid URUS SE was introduced which replaced the Urus S as the base model in 2025. A 25 kWh lithium-ion battery is coupled with the V8 engine. The Lamborghini Urus adopts the rear-wheel steering introduced in the Aventador S over the whole speed range.

The rear steering angle varies up to +/- 3.0 degrees, according to vehicle speed and driving mode selected: at low speeds, the rear-axle steering angle is opposite to that of the front wheels (counter-phase steering), effectively shortening the wheelbase up to 600 mm for increased agility and a reduced turning circle for increased manoeuvrability. At high speeds, the rear axle steering angle is in the same direction as the front wheels (in-phase steering), elongating the wheelbase up to 600 mm for increased stability, ride comfort, and optimum driving dynamics.

An optional Off-Road Package includes specific metal-reinforced bumpers and additional underfloor protection for off-roading in snow, forest or even dune surfing. The standard front DNA memory sport seats are fully electric, heated and 12-way adjustable.

More luxurious, 18-way, fully electric front seats are available, including features such as ventilation and massage. The rear bench seat, as standard, comes with a movable and folding seat back and ISOFIX fixings. Providing a five-seat configuration, the ability to fold and move the rear seat offers increased luggage capacity for daily use. The rear bench seat can be lowered to substantially extend the trunk space from 616 litres to 1.596 litres. A more exclusive two-seat rear layout can be specified as an option in conjunction with the fully electric front seats.

The Lamborghini Smartphone Interface allows a fully integrated connection of iOS and Android smartphones, supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin has high-quality materials, including leather, Alcantara, aluminium, carbon-fibre and wood.

The Lamborghini Urus's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) provide safety, security, and driving assistance at level 2 (SAE scale). As required, a High-Beam Assistant automatically fades headlights into and out of high-beam mode. Front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, and the PreCognition system, which prevents or mitigates collisions, are also standard.

Optional ADAS systems include traffic management systems, a top-view camera, and a trailer coupling mode. In 2023, the more track-focused Lamborghini Urus Performante was released. It has the same power as the Urus S but performance upgrades to the suspension, recalibrated engine, gearbox, and beefier tyres and brakes.
