Overview
The current-generation Kia Optima that debuted in 2011 gets a minor facelift for 2014, mostly involving bumpers and lights. Based on the Hyundai Sonata, the midsize Optima continues to run on two economical engines in the GCC, mainly a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder, with some countries receiving a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder. Both are available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions, though some countries will only get a standard automatic with paddle-shifters. The UAE dealer seems to bring a few units of the 2.0-litre turbocharged version of the Optima once in a while.
