2017 Genesis G80

This generation of the Genesis G80 sedan debuted in 2015 model year as the Hyundai Genesis, before the rebranding in 2017 as a separate marque. The Genesis can be had with a choice of either a 3.8-litre V6 or 5.0-litre V8. Both engines are mated to a Hyundai-designed 8-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive is standard in both models. An "Intelligent Drive Mode" system offers Normal, Eco, Sport and Snow settings that alter transmission mapping, throttle responsiveness, stability control to suit driving conditions. The Genesis V8 can be optioned with an adaptive damping suspension that promises both sportier roadholding and a cushier ride. It, too, can be controlled by Intelligent Drive Mode.
