2008 Ford Explorer

Ford has been overly careful not to mess with a winner, so when Ford redesigned the Explorer in 2006, America's favorite midsize sport utility for the last 15 years in a row, they barely changed anything. The latest Explorer is available with a big 4.0-litre V6, with a five-speed automatic. The wagon can seat seven, while the Sport Trac pickup can seat five. The wagon is a traditional midsize 4WD with a body-on-frame construction, and features new steering, new suspension and new brakes.
