2008 Chevrolet Lumina

The Lumina remains the only rear-wheel-drive sedan in the affordable midsize segment. The available 3.6-litre V6 and 6.0-litre V8 motors offer value no one can match. Built in Australia alongside the Caprice, it is brand new from the ground up, and comes in four-door trim only. The Lumina comes in four variants, namely the LS, LTZ, S and SS. The power for the LS, LTZ and body-kitted S comes from the Alloytec 3.6-litre V6 engine with an automatic transmission. The 6.0-litre V8 does its work in the SS sedan with either a 6-speed manual or new 6-speed automatic that replaced the old 4-speed automatic since 2008.
