2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

The V8 Vantage is a strict two-seater, with the rear environment offering a large luggage shelf area accessed by a tailgate. The long bonnet and two-seater cabin create an instantly recognisable stance. It looks pretty much like a DB9, and if we saw one on the street, we'd think it is a DB9. The designers at Aston Martin are getting lazy, but we don't know if we should complain about a cheaper car that looks like a DB9. The all-new engine is a 4.3-litre aluminium alloy V8, hand-built in Germany, where every Aston Martin engine is built, mated to a six-speed manual. Constructed from lightweight aluminium extrusions, precision castings and pressings, the underframe is bonded with aerospace adhesives and mechanically fixed with self-piercing rivets.
