The Aston Martin V8 Vantage forms the basis for the V12 Vantage, a technology showcase that brings the aging Vantage some new-found attention. The new-for-2010 Aston Martin V12 Vantage gets a big bump in power and a reprogrammed stability control system to help put it to the road. More a proper sports car than a grand tourer now, the V12 Vantage is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 from their larger DB9 series. A 6-speed conventional manual is mounted behind the driver for better weight distribution and drives the rear wheels. On the outside, the 2010 V12 Vantage gets a host of minor styling changes to differentiate itself from the V8 Vantage models, including a louvred bonnet, carbon-fibre front and rear air dams, and lower skirts.
