Abarth 595 Competizione 2019 Overview

The Abarth 595 Competizione is based on the Fiat 500. The front end was redesigned with a much larger air scoop to improve heat management in the engine compartment and increase cooling capacity by 18%. The extractor is quite pronounced on the rear bumper. To enhance its looks, specific bumper inserts have also been created with the Tar Cold Grey finish on the 595 Competizione. It has polyelliptical headlights and LED daytime running lights as standard equipment. Xenon headlights, on the other hand, are available on request. The standard flat-bottomed steering wheel, as well as other striking interior details, on the Competizione version is made of technical materials, such as carbon and Alcantara. Abarth 595 Competizione is equipped with a 1.4-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated to an Abarth sequential gearbox and fits the new Record Monza Attivo exhaust. The 595 Competizione is equipped with supporting shell-shaped "Abarth Corsa by Sabelt" seats. Braking is secured by a Brembo system with 4-piston aluminium monobloc fixed callipers paired with self-ventilating, perforated 305 mm discs. Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock absorbers are standard on both front and rear. The Sport button can be used to adjust various parameters of the car, such as torque delivery and power steering calibration, as well as managing the exhaust. Furthermore, the system adjusts engine response to the accelerator pedal and the TFT instrument panel switches to racing configuration. Safety standards are high with the Abarth 595 equipped with seven airbags as standard equipment. It also gets ABS with electronic brake distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC), anti-slip regulation (ASR) system, the Hill Holder devices and hydraulic brake assistance (HBA) to help with emergency stops.
