The Deepal S05 REEV is a compact electrified SUV that blends the efficiency of electric mobility with the practicality of long-distance travel. Built on Changan’s EPA1 electric platform, it combines a powerful electric drive with a petrol range-extender engine, delivering both zero-emission capability and extended range for everyday use or long journeys.
Powertrain and Performance
The S05 REEV is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor paired with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that functions purely as a generator to charge the battery when needed. Together, they produce a total output of 160 kW and 320 Nm of torque, enabling smooth and responsive performance. The SUV accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, while its rear-wheel-drive layout enhances handling balance.
