The Porsche Boxster has been completely revamped for 2012 in almost all aspects, with a new exterior design that doesn't rely on leftover 911 parts like before. Rebadged in early 2016, the '718' Boxster have engines that have been downsized to 4-cylinder turbocharged motors, with a choice of 6-speed manual or 7-speed "PDK" automanual.

The standard Boxster gets a turbocharged 2.0-litre motor, while the Boxster S gets the turbocharged 2.5-litre unit. Also, the front fascia has been updated with a new headlight design and longer cooling intakes.

The 2-seater Boxster comes standard with an insulated power soft-top, 18-inch wheels, HID headlights, power windows, keyless entry and not a whole lot else.
