Mercedes-Benz R-Class 2011 receives frontal facelift

The Mercedes-Benz R-Class, the slow-selling people carrier that is rarer on the streets than even the outdated G-Wagen, has received a frontal facelift for the 2011 model year, in line with other models from Mercedes-Benz.

Whether it looks better than before is debatable, although it seems the interior and the rest of the “sports tourer” minivan has been left untouched. Even the engines are expected to be carried over, namely the 3.5-litre V6 in the R 350 and the 5.0-litre V8 in the R 500.

The 2011 model will debut at the 2010 New York Auto Show. Keep track of future UAE prices and updates in the Mercedes-Benz R-Class buyer guide.

  1. Hmm .. Now that Volvo is chinese, wonder if Emirates Airlines will look at this or BMWs 5 series touring wagon for their business class limousine service. 😉
