Mini Countryman crossover revealed
It would seem BMW is on a roll, filling oddball niches that did not need to be filled. After the X6 and the 5-Series GT, the latest shot is taken by BMW’s Mini brand, with the reveal of the Mini Countryman 4-door crossover.
Essentially taking the half-baked Mini Clubman idea further, the Countryman is a lifted 4-door crossover with optional all-wheel-drive and a choice of existing engines, including the a 184 hp 1.6-litre 4-cylinder turbo motor in the Countryman Cooper S model.
All the usual Mini gadgetry is present, including navigation, stability control and the like, with the choice of a 4-seater configuration or a 5-seater setup, both with various storage cubbies and options.
Standard features are similar to other models in the Mini family, with unique choices available for the Countryman including an extra-large Panorama roof, light-alloy wheels ranging in size from 16-inch to 19 inch, 10 mm lower sports suspension as well as the wide range of John Cooper Works Performance components.
Expect the Mini Countryman to reach the UAE and other GCC countries sometime in the winter of 2010.

It is a nice car; however, I don’t think they should call this one a Mini!
Too much cheap plastic above the wheels.
Also it has a sad face look on the front opposite to Mazda’s happy face.
Still like it………..

Too funky, feminine and fashion-ey for my taste… But it looks really original compared to the rest of the ultra-boring crossovers in the market… This is how cars should be designed with character and originality.. Not copy/paste kind of stuff..

I Like it too much , it looks realy new for a croseover car, wild face ,4 doors
But i dont like the 2 seats in the back , i think for a family crossover has to have more seats than just 4 .
by the way how much is this car in UAE?
