Chevrolet demonstrate child car seats at Dubai Motor Show

Parents visiting the Chevrolet stand at the 10th Dubai International Motor Show can learn how to keep their children safe while on the road by choosing the right child car safety seat for their kids and how to correctly install them, from December 16th to the 20th, at stand # 80, Zabeel Hall.

Specially trained promoters at the stand will instruct children and parents on the correct usage of child safety seats.

According to the Abu Dhabi Health Authority, the UAE currently has the highest rate of road deaths in the world. Research conducted by road safety experts in the United States has shown that correctly fitted child seats can reduce child fatalities by up to 70%.

The Motor Show stand builds on Chevrolet’s UAE-wide Buckle Up Safe Kids Campaign that was launched in Dubai in November 2008. The campaign has featured live and interactive demonstrations in shopping malls and schools across the UAE. The ultimate aim of this campaign is to make the use of child seats compulsory by law around the Middle East.

The Buckle Up Safe Kids programme was launched by Chevrolet and Safe Kids Worldwide with the support of the UAE National Transport Authority and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
