McLaren P1 GT by Lanzante brings the race-car to the road
If you’ve ever wanted to drive the mental McLaren P1 GTR on the road, you were out of luck as it was confined to race-track use only. But now you have an alternative thanks to Lanzante’s new McLaren P1 GT, the design of which was allegedly commissioned by a customer from the Middle East. How unsurprising.
Lanzante has fiddled with the front end of the P1 GTR, giving the GT an even bigger splitter than that of its race-spec sister. At the rear, the tail gets elongated and a massive fixed rear wing.
Inside, the P1 GT gets some upholstery which should make the ride a less back-breaking affair.
While the car is now road-legal, Lanzante does not provide any details about the powertrain of the P1 GT. If there are no tweaks made to the GTR’s hybrid assisted 3.8-litre biturbo V8, it should pump out 986 hp.
