2018 Cadillac XTS facelift revealed
The 2018 Cadillac XTS, the current flagship model, has received a mid-cycle refresh. The new design conforms to Cadillac’s new design language.
The front and rear of the XTS have been updated with all-new LED headlamps and tail lamps. The grill up front is a new unit which fits well with the refreshed design. The XTS is available with a choice of 19-inch and 20-inch alloy wheels.
The interior of the 2018 Cadillac XTS can be specced with 22-way power adjustable seats that come with heating, cooling and massage functions. An 8-speaker infotainment system is a standard offering on the lower variants while the higher variants come with 14 speakers. Features like adaptive remote start, heated steering wheel, accent lighting, tri-zone climate control and a heads-up display are also offered. Five interior color combinations will help the buyer customize the cabin.
Two safety systems, Driver Awareness package and Driver Assist package, are added to the XTS package. While the former adds Low Speed Automatic Braking, Following Distance Indicators and Lane Change Alert to complement Side Blind Zone Alert, the latter comes with Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward/Reverse Automatic Braking.
The 2018 Cadillac XTS is powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-litre V6 engine that outputs 410 hp and 500 Nm in the top end model, the XTS Platinum V-Sport. The base models get a 3.6-litre V6 that produces 301 hp and 355 Nm. All models get a 6-speed automatic.
The 2018 Cadillac XTS sedan is slated to arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and GCC somewhere early next year, with the official reveal most likely to happen at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show in November.
