Seat Leon Cupra R 2009 debut at Frankfurt

Seat Leon Cupra R
Seat, the VW-owned Spanish manufacturer, will use the Frankfurt Motor Show in September to unveil the new Seat León Cupra R, the most powerful model in the company’s history, outclassing even Audi and VW models.

The 2010 Seat Leon Cupra R comes with a 265 hp version of VW’s corporate turbocharged 2.0-litre TSI engine, and various exclusive interior and exterior details.

The new León Cupra R can apparently manage a top speed of 250 kph and 0-100 kph acceleration in 6.2 seconds. Rated fuel efficiency is at 8.1 litres/100 km.

Distinctive detailing on the Cupra R includes 19-inch wheels with 235/35 tyres, larger disc brakes, bucket seats in grey alcantara upholstery, white LED lighting on the instrument dials, a leather steering wheel, aluminium pedals and lots of “R” badges.

Other features include low tyre-pressure warning, automatic lights on, rain sensing wipers, rear parking sensor, cruise control, trip computer, cornering foglights, dual zone climate control and an 8-speaker CD/MP3 stereo.
