2010 Chevrolet Camaro TRANSFORMERS Edition debuts
If you are a fan of childish movies with adult themes, or sci-fi movies with fighting robots and enough skin to offend this entire region, Chevrolet is offering a new special-edition Camaro named after the blockbuster Transformers movies.
Announced amongst a gathering of geeks at a Comic Con event in the United States, this is apparently the rumoured ‘BUMBLEBEE’ Camaro in the flesh, only that it is rather underwhelming compared to the modified movie car. The “special edition” turned out to be just a basic appearance package.
The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition includes AUTOBOT badges on the front fender panels, AUTOBOT shield on each of the four wheel’s caps, AUTOBOT shield embroidered on the interior centre console, “TRANSFORMERS” logo on driver and passenger door sill plates, and “TRANSFORMERS” logo embedded into the high-gloss bonnet stripes
This add-on package costs the equivalent of Dhs 3,650 in the States, and is available on all V6 and V8 Camaro models.
It is unknown at this time whether the package will be offered in the UAE and any other GCC country, although it isn’t too hard to imitate the “upgrades” with Dhs 500 worth of custom work from a local roadside outfit. That is assuming you choose to appear dorky.
