Ferrari Owners Club UAE on tour in Europe
Consisting of 16 of the world’s most exotic cars, and 25 owners and their partners, the UAE Ferrari Owners Club’s summer trip is well underway along the roads and mountain passes of Switzerland and Italy.
The tour began on June 16, and so far, the club’s members have stayed in some of Europe’s most famous hotels, taken a private visit to the continent’s biggest private collection of Ferraris, which is not usually open to the general public and dashed through a number of Alpine passes while taking in the stunning scenery of Interlaken, St. Moritz and Davos.
The cars were shipped to Switzerland from the UAE for this trip, and the owners followed by air. After the best part of a week in the landlocked country, the tour has crossed the Dolomites and has just stopped off at the club’s spiritual home, and the birthplace of Ferrari, Maranello. There, the UAE members dined with their counterparts from the Italian Ferrari Owners Club at the Ferrari Museum. The next day, they continued along a curvy 200-km stretch of the Appenine mountains, which was part of the test route for all Ferrari cars.
The rest of the tour, which ends on Saturday, June 27, will comprise more Italian scenery and fast, winding roads, before the cars are shipped back to Gulf shores.
