Audi SQ7 TDI

Audi revealed the SQ7 TDI at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. This new model is set to become the most powerful production diesel SUV in the world.

Under the hood, it packs an all-new 4.0-litre V8 turbocharged diesel engine equipped with an electric powered compressor (EPC). This motor churns out 435 hp and 900 Nm of torque, helping it propel from 0-100 kph in 4.8 seconds and hit a top speed electronically limited to 250 kph. The engine is mated to a retuned 8-speed automatic transmission which helps it achieve a fuel economy of 7.4 l/100 km.

The EPC was added to the V8 TDI engine to eliminate turbolag when the SQ7 is starting off or in low rpms. The all-wheel-drive system works together with a self-locking central differential. Optional equipment include a driving dynamics package consisting of a sport differential, electromechanical active roll stabilization, and all-wheel steering.

There is still no info yet whether the Audi SQ7 will make its way to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar or other GCC countries.
